FBCP to Sign Encourager Church Covenant on January 5th

On Sunday, January 5th, we will celebrate the beginning of our Encourager Church partnership with CBF Field Personnel Rick Burnette. Rick coordinates CBF disaster response work in the U.S. and nearby areas, and he and his wife Ellen direct a non-profit, Cultivate Abundance, which addresses food insecurity among migrant farm workers in south Florida.

Join us for worship at 10:45 am on Sunday, January 5th to hear more from Rick and Ellen about their ministry and how we can connect with the meaningful work they are doing.

As part of the worship service, we will also hear from Ellen Sechrest, Manager of Global Missions Engagement for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, about the Encourager Church program, and we will officially sign a covenant to become an Encourager Church for Rick Burnette.

Christmas Eve

The Christmas season can be an especially meaningful time to worship. Whether you are looking to continue or begin a special family tradition, to escape the chaos of the holiday for a few moments of peace and carols, or simply hear some good news, we would welcome you to worship with us this Christmas.

Christmas Eve worship will be at 5 pm on December 24th. All ages are welcome, and some special activities will be provided for children. The service will include beautiful Christmas music, the Christmas story from Scripture, the opportunity to receive communion, and singing Silent Night by candlelight.

We hope you will worship with us on this holy night! You will find us on Broad Street in Pendleton – there are three churches in a row, and we are the one in the middle!

With Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love,

Pastor Jennifer M. Rygg
