“Forgiveness can be a delicate subject. Certainly, Scripture urges us to forgive those who have wronged us… Forgiving others is certainly part of what it means to follow Jesus. But some wrongs are so harmful that forgiving seems nearly impossible, perhaps even dangerous… What does forgiveness look like when the offender is not repentant? Is forgiveness even possible?… Forgiveness requires exposing the truth… Forgiveness does not mean ignoring the fault… Forgiveness means telling the truth because that is what love does… You are never alone, especially in the house of the Lord.”
