Pentecost — the birthday of the church, the celebration of the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the 50th day after Easter — will be on May 31.
This year’s season of Easter has been an unusual one, and how strange it will be to celebrate Pentecost in our individual homes. Yet, it is the presence of the Holy Spirit resting upon each believer, as observed at Pentecost, which sustains us as a church during this time of separation.
May the Holy Spirit continue to move in our midst, and may we fan the flames of the Spirit to keep us “rooted in faith, growing in love.”
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit… (Acts 2:4)
