Sunday School

Sunday School is an important part of our church life, and we offer classes for all ages and stages of life.  We invite you to look through this list and select a class or classes to visit.  We are sure you will find a welcoming Sunday School Class that meets your needs.

Sunday School classes meet from 9:45 to 10:45 on Sunday mornings.

If you have additional questions, please contact our associate pastor Jennifer McClung at 646-3913 or

Adult Department

Ladies; Class

Location: Church library (on the sanctuary level, just around the corner from the church office)

We are an adult women’s class focused on prayer and Bible study.  The class also participates in “Community Missions” as needs arise.

Men’s Class

Location: Sanctuary Level (between the Choir Room and the Church Office)

We are the “top of the crop” senior men.  We enjoy lively discussions during our Bible study time together.  In addition, we contribute to local charities and causes as well as make special contributions to the church. Our class is the shortest distance to walk from the parking lot doors leading to the office and the sanctuary!  We have the best seats in the house -look in our classroom and you’ll see what we mean!

Co-Ed A (The Flamingos)

Location: 3rd floor

We are a class for adults in their 30s and 40’s. Many of us have children and youth that are active in the church. We are involved in many mission projects during the year. We offer various opportunities to fellowship throughout the year and our members are involved in many aspects of church life and leadership.

Co-ed B

Location: 3rd floor

We are a class made up of adults in their forties and above. Most of us have adult children.  Five class members rotate weekly and teach the class which has an average attendance of 15. Enlightening and informative lessons are taught and discussion by class members is encouraged. Class socials are held 2-3 times annually at local restaurants, class members’ homes, church fellowship hall, bowling alleys, etc.

Co-Ed C

Location: 3rd Floor

We are a group of singles and couples ranging in age from 55 up (but we welcome any age). We use Formations literature published by Smith-Helwys. Some of us are retired, while others still work in area colleges and universities or in private businesses. We try to have several social events each year, and we also support several mission activities with our time and money.

Co-Ed D

Location: 3rd floor

We are a group of men and women using the “Explore the Bible” series of lessons. One of the goals of this class is the practical application of scripture to the problems and joys of everyday life in our world today. Another goal is to honor God through true Christian fellowship and service. Teaching is geared to encourage class members’ participation and discussion.

(G.A.P. Class)

Location: 3rd Floor

The “Graduates And young Professionals" consists of members in our 20’s and 30’s including singles and young families.  Join us on Sunday mornings for Bible studies on various topics.

College and Young Adult Class
Location: 3rd Floor

Although many in our class have “blood which runneth orange” we are a class for those who are in any college, university, or technical school. We are a mix of young adults, some of us still in school and some of us working.

S.T.A.R.S.
Adults with Special Needs

Location: on the 1st floor of the church, across from nursery

S.T.A.R.S. (Studying Through Activities, Recreation, And Service) is our Sunday School class for adults (age 18+) with special needs.  We have a lesson each week, as well as activities such as crafts, jigsaw puzzles, service projects, etc.

Children and youth with special needs are included in the classes for their age group.

Youth Department

Nursery/ Preschool Department

Location: on the 1st floor of the church (below the fellowship hall)

We have four classrooms in our department.

  • Preschool A:  Infants
  • Preschool B:  1 & 2 year olds
  • Preschool C:  3 & 4 year olds
  • PreK/Kindergarten

Our infants class focuses on providing a safe and loving environment where children can experience the love of God through volunteers.  Each of the other three classes includes crafts, games, and music that help children relate to the Bible stories.

Children’s Department

Location: on the 1st floor of the church (below the fellowship hall)

Our Children’s Department is organized into two classes (grades 1-3 and grades 4-6).  In addition to their Bible lessons each week, the 4th-6th graders are encouraged to memorize the names of the books of the Bible.
